This Viking bracelet has two Fenrir heads on its ends. Fenrir is the creation of Loki (the God of deceit) and is a raging wolf. Fenrir is so aggressive that the Gods of Asgard had to tie him up, but it wasn't that easy, because the beast was strong. I need to tell you about the Vegvisir symbol... it's a real paradox, you ll see. In fact, the Vegvisir symbol is super used in Viking culture...like really you see it everywhere!! And I'll tell you why. As you probably know, the Vikings were not the kind of guys who stayed in their couch eating chips in front of the TV... No, they took their shields, their weapons and they climbed on their Drakkar to go and cut up enemy peoples (no judgement, each one has his passion after all). 

Bref, you understood it, they were a nomadic people who travelled a lot... and at the time the compass, the gps or even Waze... well that didn't exist! So some say that the Vikings used a sunstone or located themselves according to the stars in the sky... and it's probably true ! But they still needed a little help to get to their destination in one piece...and to bring themselves luck they invented the symbol of Vegvisir.

Vegvisir what does it mean ? It is the combination of two words. Vegur which means the path and Visir which can be translated as to aim. You could say that Vegvisir is taking the right path if you interpret it a little. Among our bracelet designs, this is the one we like best.

In order to introduce you to this beautiful bracelet... I absolutely must quickly talk about the Yggdrasil Tree, which is one of the pillars of Norse mythology. And when I say pillar... I'm not kidding. Yggdrasil is the tree that carries the 9 worlds of mythology. 

 Okay so you might be wondering why a tree has such a stylish name right ? Well, you're going to hallucinate. Ygrr it means Terrible, and it's one of the nicknames of Odin, the patron of the Gods and king of the city of Asgard. And "drasill" means horse. So basically you get "Odin's horse"... see, that's why, it's obvious right? No come on I'm kidding, I'm telling you everything.

 In fact, it's very metaphorical and spiritual. To access the ultimate wisdom Odin impaled himself with his spear the Yggdrasil. And for nine days and nights he stayed like that on the tree... completely dead. Then in the morning... as if by magic he gets the power of the runes and the ultimate wisdom (he occasionally takes the opportunity to resurrect himself). So metaphorically (yep that word is long), Yggdrasil would be the faithful mount that accompanied Odin in his quest for the ultimate wisdom. That's stylish isn't it?
