Through this collection, you can find all our Viking necklaces.

Our Viking Necklaces

At Odin's Hall, we work hard to be able to offer you diversity, the Viking necklace collection is a perfect example, because we know that it really takes a lot of different models for everyone to find the one that fits.

Then you'll find different types of chains, different symbols representing divinities or Nordic legends. In most cases, we favour Viking necklaces made of steel or silver. You can keep them on in the shower, it's practical, classy and badass!

Our necklaces will dress up your neck while remaining comfortable, however beware of some models that are particularly heavy.

We generally offer two chain lengths 50 cm or 70 cm. Choose this length according to your height, build and the way you like to wear a necklace.

Our Viking necklaces like the rest of our jewellery are delivered in a wooden box with the engraving "Odin's Hall" all in 8 to 10 days usually.

You will not find in our collections small pearl or fine gemstone necklaces. You have to go to the competition for that haha!

Steel Viking Necklace

Most of our Viking Necklaces are made of steel, but as we work with artisans and other blacksmiths, they regularly happen that we have limited editions or new creations in a short-lived way depending on the productions of the artisans. That's why we invite you to keep an eye on our online jewellery store so you don't miss anything. If you are subscribed to our newsletter then everything will be fine!

Steel is still the most effective in offering strong, durable necklaces with a badass design while keeping the price range not too high.

Viking necklace a little bit of history

You probably know this... the Vikings  loved jewellery, especially necklaces. Indeed, jewellery is a sign of social status. Like if you're the stylish Viking with a big gold necklace and 3 rings on each hand... well we know you're a successful person.  Beyond social status, jewellery often carried symbols with meaning.  And I would add that jewellery also had a spiritual and religious role very important among the Norse...

I will have the opportunity to tell you about it in the following lines. So read carefully what follows, you will love it. So. Today I'm here to introduce you to 5 necklaces that will reveal your Viking charisma to the world, yep nothing but that! But I'm warning you now... these necklaces are not for everyone, I'd rather tell you straight. The 5 Viking necklaces I'm about to introduce to you are for the Warrior or Warrioress who assumes their ferocity.

Because it's true that the design of these necklaces is very raw to respect the Viking style. Come on, I'll introduce you to it all:

Viking necklace symbolizing Mjölnir

Before I introduce you to this necklace... I'll quickly tell you about Thor's hammer. Already the first thing to know is that this hammer... well it has its own little name. And yes sir! It's called: Mjöllnir. So this mythical hammer was created by dwarfs. And the story is fascinating. It all starts with a provocation from Loki God of deceit... basically Loki is going to provoke the dwarves by telling them they're no-good. And to prove otherwise, the dwarves set about building a very high quality weapon.

So of course, while the dwarf is forging Mjöllnir... Loki, who is polymorphic, turns into a fly and comes to bite the dwarf to deconcentrate him ! The dwarf stays focused as best he can... and he will finish the hammer which will have only one flaw: its handle is a bit too short (please don't take that sentence out of context).  But other than that ? The weapon is perfect... and the dwarves on their trip to Asgard decide to offer Mjöllnir to Thor, God of Lightning and heir to the throne of Asgard.

So it's Mjöllnir, Thor's hammer, which you can find as a pendant on this Viking necklace. I agree with you, it's a real eye-catcher!

Viking necklace with Vegvisir symbol

See the pattern on the Viking spear point of this necklace?  That's the symbol of Vegvisir... and I'll reveal its meaning to you (yep it's still better to know what it means before you take your necklace). The Vegvisir is a very popular symbol among the Vikings... and still today where many people get it tattooed.

So Vegvisir is a symbol with 8 branches that are arranged in symmetry. And according to some sources, each branch would represent a world from Norse mythology. So if you know anything... you probably know that there are 9 worlds in all... and you're right !  But the point of contact of all its branches would represent Midgard. And in fact it's quite logical! For Midgard is a bit the middle world on Yggdrasil

Afterwards, if we want to be more down to earth, the name Vegvisir means "the one who shows the right way. And we hope that this necklace with a Viking spear point as a pendant where the Vegvisir symbol is engraved will guide you on the right path. It's a meaningful necklace.  And with it you'll attract attention, because yes, its raw design doesn't go unnoticed... there's even a good chance that you'll be asked about it. And since now you know all about Vegvisir, you're going to be able to impress your loved ones!

Yggdrasil Viking Necklace

On this necklace is engraved a representation of Yggdrasil, a staple in Norse mythology...  And even today we hear about Yggdrasil in books, manga and video games.  In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil represented the universe, and it was he who carried the 9 worlds.  It is therefore a sacred symbol for the Vikings. A symbol of wisdom and greatness.

It is for these values that we offer you this necklace with a simple and modern design.  Besides, it's stainless steel this necklace... since you're not a blacksmith I'll translate: it's SOLIDE. You'll be able to wear it for years with no problem.

YGGDRASIL TREE OF LIFE NECKLACE

Valknut Viking necklace with dragon guardian of souls

I really wanted to talk to you about the Valknut because it's a very special symbol, and this is the perfect opportunity!  In fact, the Valknut symbol is super common in what we find of the Vikings... you see them everywhere.

There's just one catch... We don't know exactly what it means! So historians and archaeologists have a few hypotheses, but nothing 100% sure. I'll introduce you to some of them quickly.

The 9 Worlds

The Valknut is three interlocking triangles. And as you know if you've made it all the way to 4th grade... triangles have 3 sides. So if there are 3... that's 9 sides, like the number of worlds in Norse mythology! In fact, when you think about it, it could very well be a coincidence too... to meditate on !

The Warriors' Symbol

The Valknut is often depicted next to Odin (the king of Asgard) and this guy? He loves to fight.  So there's a good chance the Valknut could be a symbol that gives courage to Viking warriors !

The Cult of the Dead

And yes, the Valknut is also found on tombstones. It may be a symbol that accompanies the fallen warriors to Valhalla.A sort of paradise where they will wait for the Ragnarök to fight alongside Odin. You will have understood that this necklace has a meaning. It's up to you to give it yours.

Viking Necklace - Symbol of Thor - Fenrir the Wolf

 Be careful it is heavy!

This Viking necklace has Thor's hammer as a pendant, and if you have a good eye you'll have noticed that the pendant is attached with 2 Fenrir heads... You need to know that this necklace isn't sold in shops... and at the same time it makes sense. Not everyone can wear it... its raw design, true to the Viking spirit, makes it unique. And to wear it... you have to embrace your masculinity and manhood.

You see this Viking necklace ? It's forged from 316L stainless steel. This metal is a mixture of iron and carbon... so you might as well tell you that it's the real deal. Plus, it won't rust or tarnish over time. We want you to enjoy a necklace that will last for years... without you having to worry about it getting damaged! All you have to do is add it to your basket and finalise your order... and we'll deliver it straight to your door.

VIKING NECKLACE - THOR SYMBOL - FENRIER WOLF

Finally...

We're not going to lie...not everyone can wear this kind of necklace around their neck. Each piece has a raw design that draws attention and stares. So if you don't have the shoulders to be the centre of attention...you better not order one of these necklaces!!
